ooooooooh and they love Hag Fold TRAIN STATION! manky kids screaming and scareing the locals! briking the poor run down trains and trashing the place to some high order!!!!!!!!
The tom boys/girls? love their morris dancing at HAG FOLD COMMUNITY CENTRE this local well known building causes a lot of stir twice a week the older local riff raff think its a get together for a chin wag while the chavscum think its time to cause a riot with lads on motor bikes skidding about girls if you can call them that shoveing them selvs about in their trackys bottoms and tight tops gobbing it off to the unfortunate locals.
And ooooh yes you can’t forget the local drunk
a well known bloke about 70 wobbles about on a zimmer frame drinking and singing away you normally find him dossed out on the corner of car bank street, what a sight!
Then theres The WORKING MENS club off devonshire road full of scummy kids and local dole dossers its a good night in there if your short of a few bob a mate or 2 or just a nice MAN to take home.
I would go on but I wouldn’t like to spoil the attactions of this wonderfull little erm…………place?

Well………………don’t just complain about Hag Fold…………….if you don’t like it, MOVE!!!! There are some genuine, hard working, lovely people that live in Hagfold too and have done for generations. Unfortunately, from my own experience it tends to be people that move here from other area’s who give the place a bad name!!!
While I’m here, I would like to give the person who wrote the original piece some information. Wigan and Leigh college offer courses on Literacy and spelling. This might prove useful to you in the future when writing other articles!!!!! Your knowledge of the area is too extensive for you to be just a visitor. Why therefore would you mock your home and your neighbours?
Try a little harder to get a job. Completing courses such as the one mentioned above would be helpful to you. Once you are sufficiently educated you may be able to contribute to improving things in the area, by writing to Councilors and informing them of your concerns!
I am a real Hag Fold’er – born on Everest Road and lived there most of my life – I think this qualifies me to comment here. Hag Fold is not the shit hole it is being made out to be. True, it has some distasteful areas and people… but then again could you name any other town that doesn’t… I think not! (notice no spelling mistakes yet and my punctuation and grammar is up to scratch.)
Hag Fold is a community and although it may not be the best community going, it is a community that reflects the changes seen nationally – it is not localised here in Atherton. Would you like a list of places? Maybe you could move to one of them saying you are so unhappy – you might have to find a job first as I realise your Jobseeker’s Allowance may mean you can’t afford to move at this time… after you have bought your supply of Stella Artios.
I have some advice for you – get a job, get an education and get a life!

I live in Hag Fold and its an absolute shit hole and the people are rough as f**k. Went to a quiz night at the George VI pub and the first question was, what the f**k are you lookin at. I bought a water bed from someone from Everest Road and there was a fuckin dead body at the bottom of it.

Hag Fold is a shit hole.I moved from Astley and spent 5 years in Hag Fold big f**king mistake that was.Piss heads shouting and fighting my brother got burgled .I use to live across from the pub on spa Road.I came home from work and noticed a number of ppl on the poets corner cark park.A day later it turns out some little yob reversed a car on a old man crushing him to death.And i had and old friend who moved from Astley to Hag Fold who also died when a car run him down.Am so glad i dont have to bring my son up in such a corrupt place.

you are obviously a very unhappy person, if you went to the community centre you would realise how good hag fold dancers are and how much effort everyone puts in the mums, the dancers and the trainers..how can you judge them for what they wear? its part of there dance. they work really hard and are fantatic at least they are doing something and not causing trouble..
I moved to Hag Fold just over a year ago, and despite it’s bad reputation that I’d heard of when I moved, I haven’t seen or heard a single ‘bad’ thing happen since I’ve been here.
Ok, so there may be a small minority of people that look a little of the rough side, but you get that anywhere.
