Think you’ve forgotten that there are actually some nice areas in wycombe. I live along Daws Hill Lane and have never experienced “gangs” or having drunk people outside my house at 8:30. Dont think you should tar all wycombe areas with the same brush!

I was planning to meet a friend who lives 4hours drive from me in HW which is exactly half way. Planning to have a few beers, a meal etc and stay the night in the town centre so we can walk from our hotel. I was perplexed when the all knowing Google failed to identify a single hotel in the town? There were two coakroach 2star hotels that had terrible write upsand that was it. What was the reason that no-one thought to put up a hotel in HW?? Perhaps a massive business oportunity awaited! I thought! Sadly having looked at HW on Street View it looks like total shit hole and the warning given by the author of that elegant peice clearly explains why it is a shit hole and no-one in their right minds would want to go there so there is no need for a hotel!!! Thansk for the warning!!!

I live in one of the surrounding ‘stuck up’ towns, but attend a mental health clinic in Wycombe. I have to say I’m a little offended at the way you portray the patients of the clinic in this article.

wycombe is a nice place to live after living up north for over 10years and coming back to my hometown it really is nothing compared to some places…(no names mentioned as there really is no need to slander a town as a whole) its a place to expand a family and enjoy life in a quiet way… there are times where there is trouble but really instead of giving it a bad name why do you not try resloving such issues by giving the youth other things to do like more community centres??? other activities…

the crime is a problem and an issue that is faced by all towns, cities in the uk and will never stop no matter how close to london u live and yes there are parts in the town where other ethnicities are facing rascist remarks is it fair to only mention ones about a certain ethnicity???? if you thin its really this bad then move to somewhere you cant say this and if you do find such a place please let us know

well interesting reading on all sides… i agree with most of the commentsmade after about wycombe.it is an english town, get over it, the whole of england is wank, in built up areas… I previously lived on green st, i was told it was notorious for crime but i never experienced it, although a raping and murder did happen along the road…n il tell u its weird being a white person and actually being the minority urself, but saying that racism does still exist so dont be so silly to say it doesnt, and infact i notice that the atitude comes from the east… not white ppl… however who gives a f**k most ppl keep themsleves to themselves and yes we have some loopy crack heads but damn where arnt they? also wycombe was a major player in crack n such in 80s n 90s due to its links to rivers and london… anyways could go on forever bout wycombe, but its a newly refurbished town but u know wanting mini city status’ isnt always and good thing and attracts the troubles have, on a smaller scale… anyways 1 last thing, it is a good place actually compared to reading lol…

Really cannot believe that you think High Wycombe is that bad. Sure it has anti-social activity and people that are a little wierd in places. But everything you’ve talked about is common up and down the country. High Wycombe is beautiful and I like living here Ummmm I guess you just dont like a diverse society and that is your oppinion but try getting out more and maybe some day your ignorance will fade away and you’ll be a happier and nicer person.

Racism is not a good look and saying things which are clearly exaggerated just makes you look like a prick.

I do however agree that asians can be just as chavvy and white chavs lol 9ct gold and trackies are never a good look lmao

I work in dashwood avenue and it is a shit hole. People live like shit, drive like shit and act like idiots. It’s probably only 25% of the residents though. But enough to make it a dump.

You see a lot of drug abuse, drunks (at 08.30 in the morning). Society failed this area about 30 years ago and never looked back. It’s sad.
