Go to any estate, any area of Middlesbrough and you will find 70% of the residents are complete chavs..

Lets take Hemlington to start with, Was once a nice place, with lovly resident, it even had a hospital!
But car crime and burgalries took over, Now its a horrible place.
Linthorpe, Espescially the Parliment road area.
Its a chav breeding ground!, terraced house’s as far as the eye can see, all complete with unemployed pregnant 15 year old couples.
Whinney banks, 90% of the house’s are boarded up, the estate is to be knocked down as far as im aware, If not, they should put a big wall around the whole area from West lane right down to acklam..

One has looked at the many who have left comments in relation to Middlesbrough and one has found many to be accurate enough to be considered an opinion worthy of note.
I use to live in Stockton on Tees but commuted to the “Boro” every working day on a road known as the A66 as this is the only main road in the area to this Town.
Middlesbrough has an elected Mayor who wanted the town to be the” Gay capitol of the north east” yet this worked out at being the capitol of the Middle east due to the 7-1 ratio of Asian dominance within the town and suburbs.
Marton Rd is no more than a taxi rank with the hundreds of of cabs parked on driveways.
Asylum seekers within the town area have seen a 400% increase over the last three years and the dirty private landlords rake the cash in to buy another rat infested run down house all courtesy of the taxpayer .
Middlesbrough has real deprivation as 7 in 10 children are on free school meals and the social care services are not even beginning to cope.
It is indeed hard to find a fish and chip shop as the town itself has changed into a curry house and take away heaven and many streets can be used to train the Army for a tour in Afghanistan or ****stan
Middlesbrough=a multi cultural town with one minority and that is the English .
middlesbrough is oright av been to preston,hull,chester, and av seen some rough places and middlesbrough is not as bad as people make out, tbh if people feel the need to slag of the boro then come to middlesbrough and do it the proper way!
boros not that bad! i wud never ever move owt of it and i have family that live in north ormesby , ormesby, thorntree and in the town and in grovehill.. i was brought up in grove and the peeple are really nice and its not even rough there are plenty more places that are MUCH WORSE than boro. im a smoggie and im proud so yas can f**k off the lot of yas!!!

My ex girlfriend was from Middlesbrough and she was always complaining about how unfair it was that the town had such a bad reputation and how whenever it was shown on T.V it would always be some run down council estate etc, but then she also admitted that she’d never move back there!

I’m from a working class family from a village very close to boro, and everything bad people say at about boro is not an overstatement at all. The only good place in middesbrough is the f**king shopping center area.
Firstly, “drain on the working classes”. More money, per person, is taking through taxes than those consdered middle class and earning above 40k a year, as compared to people like me and you who probably earn much less than that.
Secondly, you talk about ‘abolishing’ grants and s**t, but seriously, do you not know who benefits from f**king grants? The people who benefit from grants are low earning families like yourself, as you no undoubtedly don’t work due to a bad back injury sustained in ’89 when you fell over your mothers dick, which means if you managed to get a wife etc. and she spewed out some sprogs, and they decided that they wanted to get out of the working class environment, and get a much better job, with higher pay, less hours and more comfort – than they have to get an education, and that’s where grants come in! To make it possible for working class people and lower middle class people to get out of the ‘cycle’ of poor = need money = need education to earn more money = can’t afford to pay for education = stay poor.
And finally, i really don’t think the part at the end of your message where you said something about your sister’s infested vagina was really necessary. Keep that s**t to you and your dads pay per view incest porn site, as no one else gives a s**t.

I live in Southbank and it truly is a s**t hole. There is some lovely people who make the best of what they’ve got and there is a sense of community spirit but there is also some truly horrible people, I run the risk of getting trouble just for having long hair, seriously I can´t even walk to ASDA without a group of scruffily dressed yobs mouthing off and the cleverest thing they can say is get a haircut. They don’t realise no matter how long my hair is I’ll never be as scruffy as them.
I have lived on the outskirts of Boro for 29 years and would never dream of living within Boro itself, it realy is a s**t hole. Ive worked all over the uk and never have I found a place that is as chewy as Boro. Boro has a total ” what you lookin at ” attitude and the streets realy are littered with tracky wearing scum. Nights out on the piss have often been spoilt with Dealers/meat heads thinking above there station and fighting amongst each other outside clubs, not sumet you wana see at the end of a night, no wonder I dont go out there any more.
Anyone from Boro feel free to reply as your comments will fall on death ears, after all if you have lived in Boro all your life then you wouldnt know any other way of life than the deprived pit that surrounds you.
I couldnt agree more….its a total dump….most of the people are horrible in attitude….i was born in the boro but moved away and travelled for yrs….i eventually moved back and then moved straight back out and now live near whitby…..i found the lack of morality and decency and common sense appalling…..if you are intelligent and have interests of an intellectual nature then hide them as you will be targeted….as the scum dont like individuality oh no…..

I live in Easterside and if I’m honest, I hate it. It’s a scruffy dump thanks to all of the chavs and un-grateful people that live in the area. I understand and think that there are worse places in Middlesbrough than Easterside, for example Grove Hill + Pally Park are an absolute disgrace. I can name many more places, but I don’t wish to insult or offend anybody! I find that I can’t even go to my own local shop which is 5 minutes away from my house because of pathetic chavvy children.
Middlesbrough in general is an absolute dump and I find that I can’t go anywhere without getting abuse hurled at me from all different directions.
On Saturdays, I used to go to the green, most people know it as the bottle of notes. I can’t go there anymore because it’s been took over by teeny-boppers and chavs. It’s an awful mess.
Grove Hill has to be the worst though, I can’t believe I used to live there once. I must be the cleanest person that has ever walked Grove Hill, that used to live there.
If you dont like middlesbrough wren then f**k off!!!! I live in nunthorpe but i can honestly say the estates that you mention are not all bad like linthorpe! You say its a s**t hole but linthorpe has lots of carisma lots of good pubs and plenty of nice people.I used to love linthorpe before the boro matches at ayresome park you could not beat it.Grange town Southbank and whinney banks might be run down but the councils owe it to the public who have lived there all their lifes to improve the housing and facilities.My dads from whinney banks so is my nana,auntie,cousins and they are quality people who do their up most to help out anyone that may need their help! So before slating the areas and then the people take a minute to think that even though a small number of people are idiots the majority of the people are quality and make the town what it is today and make us who we are today.Look no further than the capital wren the tv programs only show the good parts where infact the place is a drug ridden smack riddled f**king s**t hole.Your obviously a millionaire so f**k off back to your penthouse before someone gives you the good f**king hiding that you need.

You have no idea. Pally Park is clearly the roughest area in the north east of England, yet you have failed to include this in the list. Therefore how can i trust you to educate me on my hometown? We should be finding ways to resolve the poverty problems our country has rather than slating them. Genuinely nice people live in Middlesbrough, some far more welcoming than those i have met while living south. The reason the are appears to be bad is because of the incredible lack of jobs. The steel works (OUR ONLY INDUSTRY) is due to close any time now leaving the people of teeside fewer jobs. You have no idea do you? Some people cannot afford to buy their children presents this Christmas and you have the balls to sit behind your PC in a nice cosy house and slaughter them over the internet. Your a sad c**t. And when you grow up you’ll hopefully realise this. x
In hindsight, I feel I was a little harsh on Middlesbrough in my last comment. The Train Station building, and the buildings and streets around it are really nice. Albert Park and Stewart Park are really nice. And The Transporter Bridge and Newport Bridge are magnificent! Hopefully the planned Middlehaven project starts soon, as that looks amazing, and will breathe new life into Middlesbrough.
Having studie at Middlesbrough for one year (The course was for two years but I cut it short!). The reason was this s**t place is no more than a council estate! And i mean the town centre! A nice Town hall, and that’s it! On top of that i cannot remeber the amount of times I, and fellow students were mugged! Chav w**kers would come up to you and say ‘I need a pound’. You’d reach into your pocket, and they would run off with your wallet! f**k off Middlesbrough!

Parliament Rd is not Linthorpe! I grew up in Linthorpe and although it has gone downhill a little, this was sadly inevitable as it is surrounded by bad estates:
Grove Hill
Whinney Banks
Clairville & Longlands
Town – which is what Parliament Rd is part of.
The solution? Move to Nunthorpe or Marton. Or even better, Stokesley. Or Surrey. Or Canada…

You can list how Boro is chav in the physical sense, but to gain a fuller flavour you need to appreciate the chavs themselves, not just their environment.
i) one chap rides around the town centre on a mountain bike, asking studenty-looking people if they know where the festival shop is (outlet of dope-related paraphenalia); if they do he then offers “nice ganja” to them.
ii) another staggers around the bus station, asking for “the fare to Billingham”; should have saved up enough to buy a bus by now, if not at least a few shares in Stagecoach. Or else spent it on heroin.
