For any of you out there who have had the misfortune to visit or drive through the wretched place, I sympathise. I will translate for you to make it easy to follow :-
Girls = strange boy/girl combination dressed only in sports clothing with lashings of gold, the bigger the jewellery the better.
Boys = dead eyed smack head lookalike wannabe black boys. Logoed up and and as mean as can be. All the young lads are criminals.
Adults = two varietes 1. Ugly, fatheaded, psuedo disabled lazy bastards who travel via motorised spac scooter smoking as many fags as they can. (There are whole families travelling round in these machines – believe me)
2. The chav made good adult which consists of a widenecked bloke who has done well in a manual job married to a thin faced, very tanned, old looking chavette who thinks she has a good marriage because he only beats her up on Saturday nights and she has got a widescreen.
The only bit of green in the area (Madameswood) is strewn with stolen burnt out cars and motorbikes and fridges. The biggest worry is that for those who bought thier council house, the massive profits in the area mean that loads of chavs are moving out, maybe to a town near you. You will know who they are when they arrive accompanied by the smell of fried food and badly maintained Ford Orion engine. I lived there for a few years and I was robbed four times and had my car stolen five times. Thieving scum, put them in a field and blow then up.
evidently chickentown!
I lived there on and off for twenty odd years. It is such a shame that the decent people who live there (and there are plenty) end up living side by side with the people who give it a bad name. There was a lot of crime. Living there, my Mum and Dads house was burgled twice, my car was broken into five times, my partners car was broken into twice and I had two cars stolen. We lived in the nice bit for a while (nr Hospice) but although it looked lovely the crime and extreme anti social behaviour continued. The worst was my partner politely asking some kids not to use our drive as a cut through ~ the kids returned armed with a wheel brace and a threat to do us in for disrespecting them. The constant fireworks, the stolen cars racing around then being set fire to in the woods and the sorry state of the local school (now much better after getting a decent head) prompted us to move away. We havent looked back and when we have returned to visit family and friends have no regrets. I was once thtreatened for asking a man not to smoke at the meat counter in what used to be Hanburys!!!! We felt like prisoners and went away as often as we could but the sinking feeling of not knowing what we returning to never went away. I was also threatened (at 8 months pregnant) for daring to ask a small gang of ADULTS to stop setting off industrial fireworks directly in front of our house as they had woken our Daughter who was terrified. In summary, felt nervous, on edge, unsafe and most of all scared.
I have lived in Little Hulton for 19 years of terror I do not go outside as I will get stabbed by multitudes of unemployed scroats every time I make the dreaded weekly shop someone will swear at me or throw bricks once I got my legs broke for asking a guy the time

were a couple thinking of moving to little hulton. we’ve been looking at a nice estate- Quarry Pond Road- the prices are reasonable however we were told that this is because the houses are always getting robbed! is this right? we went looking at the houses and they are lovely but we’re reluctant to buy because of reputation.
Please could you tell me if this is right?
thanks
I was born in Little Hulton in 1962 and lived there with my Gran until I was 21 (1983).
My early memories were wonderful, everyone played out in the street, we lived on tree lined Hulton Avenue, all gardens were well tended and everything was very clean. The neighbours were lovely, we all helped each other out in times of crisis, and there were quite a lot of those!
In the 70′s the Salford overspill happened, and that was the beggining of the end.
The first family that moved in were scruffy and abusive, I remeber one day when passing the house, they were throwing an old mattress out of a bedroom window, the children of the house were screaming “they are killing our friends”….bed bugs!! The same family kept a German Shepherd, which was always loose, and every morning on my way to Joseph Eastham school it would attack me, until one morning when I retaliated and kicked it square in the jaw…it never bothered me after that!
From then on the area just slipped down further every month. The Salforders were referred to as “Commom”, chav is of course a recent word.
I have lived in Spain for 7 years now, and I went back to Little Hulton last year…it was very sad to see the full extent of the decline of the place…very sad.
I dislike how some people claim to have a degree, but seem to lack the brain cells to NOT TALK LIKE THIS. It’s as though they are shouting. It’s as though their opinion is of a higher importance than anyone elses. Either that or i’m just tired and need to go to bed.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LITTLE HULTON I LIVED THERE MOST OF MY LIFE WENT TO HULTON HIGH GOT EDUCATED TO DEGREE LEVEL SERVED IN THE RAF THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH LH IS THE PEOPLE WHO KNOCK IT I LIVED ON CARRFIELD FOR YEARS LONG LIVE LH
Perhaps that degree could help you to find your CAPS lock key.
ive lived in LH all my life n had no trouble so any one hu thinks there is then im sorry hahaha
I grew up and lived most of my life in Little Hulton. In that time I have seen all the towns flaws, but most of all I have seen it’s GOOD parts too.
Yes I understand that it is predominantly made up from council estates, and there are a large amount of people living there who are dependant on benefits, but does that immediately make them bad people? does that mean that they are all poorly educated? NO! The vast majority of people from Little Hulton are hard working family orientated people, and I am proud to say that most of them would be so kind as to give you the clothes off their backs to help someone in need.
Please don’t make a judgement of the town based on a brief drink in a pub, or a walk down a dark street. Get to know the place before making any judgements.
Yes we have some bad people here (drug addicts, alcoholics etc) but name me a place un England that dosen’t have them.
Little Hulton might not be the best place in England, but it’s not the worse by far, and I am proud to call it home!
Why are you all writing like a load of Bronx negroes?? Does one have to copy and not be original in one’s thoughts??
yo wats wiv all the l/h hatin??? i live here man its the fuckin bom!!! people look out 4 each other man big time!!! if ur bit skint people leave clothes out 4 u 2 borrow on there washin lines an shit. i dont get me gyro til every other thursday so me m8 piehead always gets a 2 cig mix on the day b4 i get paid an lets me bash it wiv him til i get paid. thats mint. if ive cum into sum money like an wana kit meself out i always jump the 68 bus 2 farnworth market and get sum sick treads! peel parks mint aswell cos theres always skoolys putting out at the weekend!! buzzin!! long live kenyon way, peace out homies
Lol that’s cool and very funny, excellent writing! And a great response to Steven Rowe. Although he does have a point, his own use of English is pretty dreadful and so he puts himself in a poor light to criticise.
Your Wierd. Little Hultons The Best!
ok I know im a little late, but someone has only just shown me this website. I have lived in little hulton most of my life, i have a 13 year old son who is not a chav, as people have said b4 you get chavs allover, and smack heads, they are everywhere to and they dont have to be young, instead of condeming the place why not think about the decent people that live here, people that work hard for the community and the youths that arnt scum, the scum are a minority and if you (pebble and others) are so called decent people then you need to look at the bigger picture, get out from behind your glass house and grow up, making pathetic, unjustyfiable comments about areas is rather narrow minded, and btw what do you do for work/hobbies etc,if your so perfect why arnt you helping instead of making derogatory remarks, the youth of today have enough crap thrown at them, give them a break, there are some good ones out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well all i can say is little hulton is quite a nasty place to visit,i had the misfortune to stop off there on my way to a frinds house in worsley,i callsd into a pub called the welcome for a glass of jucie,it looks ok from the road but once inside it is a different mater,i got nothing but abuse from the people in there one chap even swore at me and said he was going to beat me up.just because i looked smart in my new suit.
i live in LH on da captain fold estate which da locals recognise as 1 ov da roughest in little hulton on friday n saturday a group of about 100 youths gather on da shop on captain fold dey r known as da spa crew as ne 1 else witnessed dis
I lived there too once and I turned into a full blown chavette, complete with manc accent, burberry cap and criminal tendancies! Remind me what the good points are?
Oh yeah, the one fit lad there, oh no, his name was Pat – crap unchavvy name! I had a stalker too – in the form of a chav wannabe called Dave T, bless him! kez x
I have lived in Little Hulton since i was a baby i have lived on the new estate and on cleggs lane ok granted not everyone who lives there are the most pleasant but open your eyes you silly cow this is the 21st century and there are as you call them “chavs” everywhere i went to one of the most respected parts of london a few weeks ago and guess what girls with big gold earrings in boys with trac suits on shock horror its the style at the moment so get a grip lay of little hulton and stop being so stuck up.
little hulton is not that bad, ive lived here for 4 years now and where i live it is pretty quiet, Only the smack heads look like smack heads but hey what area doesnt have smack heads living there. As for the girls yea some of us do like our gold and designer clothes but whats wrong with that we like the way we dress and the logoed up lads we have as mates or boyfriends. Little hulton might have its bad points but its got its good points to.
