I am extremely suprised that Stoke is not yet included on the list of chavtowns, as it has the complete tick list;
-council estates
-high rate of unemployment
-cheap fake stores
Its like white lightening -chavelicious!!
Okay, lets take a stroll over chewing gum filled streets of stoke and spot the chaviness.
To our right is the council estate of bentilee, which stands out with its saint georges flags in an effort of patriotism which inspires much asian “bashing.”
The delightful bentilee is full of young chav mums (aged only 12 themselves) and their offspring, who also have chavi names such as chantelle, brittnay, shannon and chardonnay (without the h is apparently “claaassy rate”)
Here the chavs are in their element: large amounts of drugs, off licenses and “boozers”, chavs from as young as 6 hang outside the pubs (whilst their parents spend all night in them) in intimidatng groups wearing their oh soo chavelicious burberry/kappa/tracksuits tucked into socks
and the older chavs attract the minging chavettes into their (modded- i use the term loosely) gti’s.
Obviously the sight of cheaply dyed hair (roots of 9inches long showing) orange tans and “bling” (those lovely 9 carat plated ragdoll necklaces and soverign rings) attracts all those chav lads.
From here we travel deeper into the heart of the town, u can pick from many tunstall, burslem (bur-slum more like) and the local job centre.
Ofcourse, the chavs dont spend much time actually looking for jobs here, but they hang out here looking “cool” opposite the variety of woolworths (there is a woolworths EVERYWHERE!) corner shops and pound shops selling nothing more than mobile phone covers, fake louis vuitton bags and thongs without the elastic (only 5 for 50p!)
Another past time for the chav is television, ofcourse with nothing else important to do but collect giros and skip school, the chav devotes a large amount of time to this hobby. The usual day starts with Trisha which all chavs love (without seeing the obvious irony replicated in their lives.) After trisha is “this morning” which the chav finds too upmarket and so sleeps further into the day until more mind numbing shows appear on their stolen sets.
Try to venture further out in stoke and you will eventually reach a park- the contents of which have been set on fire and is littered with used condoms and needles. If you dare to come to the park at night time (or in fact even after the chav morning,) you will inevitably come across the young chavs who like to “cop off” in the bandstand adding only further to the large amount of teenage mums in stoke.
Yes, Stoke is THE very most CHAVELICIOUS town on earth and if you dont agree- come visit for yourself- but keep your car doors bolted and windows wound up!
I think this is outageous, I am a 24 year old Stoke lad who went to one of the lesser schools in the area, yet I now earn more than probably a fair chunk of you, I love my home town, I have travelled much of the country and seen far worse.
If this is such a bad place, why come?
Stay away from our good city.
i really dont think you can accuse the whole of stoke of being “chavvy” when it really is just a few small areas that let it down i have been born and bred in whitehill in stoke on trent and i come from a good family that have always worked hard all their lives, i have a good standard of education, 2 beautifull kids my own home husband and job, i have not and never will be seen in a kappa tracksuit and my kids will be brought up with the same moral values as i was, so to tar everyone in stoke with the same brush is just showing how narrow minded and ignorant you must be and for the kids that are roaming the streets every day and night i feel sorry for them because they are a product of their upbringing and that responsibility should lie with their parents.

I was born in Stoke and let me tell you , i’m glad i don’t live there now it’s awful , due to it being almost separate towns the roads are all over the place and the amount of tacky and nasty takeaways is unbelievable!

I am from Stoke also, Meir Park in fact (for i-hate-chavs) and I agree with almost every point been made. Hanley is infested by Chavs, Most of the parks (most of them, not all) are inhabited by Chavs and some places like Benteley are also 99% chav inhabited. However, there are a few points i disagree with.
As I said i live in Meir Park. Now Meir Park isnt as big as many think, and although seeng plenty of Chavs it isnt completely inhabited by them. Most Chavs travel from surrounding areas such as Blythe Bridge and the near chav-haven Meir. There are chavs in Meir Park, but there are almost anywhere in Britain today.
also – rubbish schools. Not true. I go to Newcastle under Lyme School, a private school that has very very good A level results over its history. There are some rubish school, but there are a few good ones.
Now, after my rant – everything else is spot on. There are areas in Meir and Hanley that you cannot walk through not wearing trackies tucked into your socks without having funny looks being fired at you or being called a goth if you wear any other item of clothing that they would not wear. I love Stoke but not its infestation Chavs.

So so true! I unfortunately decided to study up here in Stoke…what a mistake! Nothing wrong with the Student Campus, but as soon as you start to walk up College Road towards Hanley, the chavness starts to show. One of my mates got mugged last year in Stoke town centre in broad daylight on a Sunday by a big ring wearing smack head Stokie! No doubt these will be the longest 3 years of my life as I truely detest the place.
And why is it every time I come back after a visit back home the sun is shining, but as soon as you get past Wolverhampton and see Stoke signposted it starts to piss it down???
