Have you ever been to Feltham?
If you havnt then dont even think about it.
Feltham in my opinion is one of the worst chaviest places i have ever had the misfortune of visiting.
It has all the usual landmarks of a chavtown, ALDI,LIDL,Feltham sports with only every variety of Reebok classics on display with a special offer sign outside.
Feltham pond has kids bunking off school fishing around it, its a pond with no free flow water and Hounslow council will not put fish in the pond,probably catch a few diseases there though.
Their building what they call luxury apartments for stupid prices for the area which will surely be advertised to all of London,un suspecting people will raise massive mortgages only to find they have moved to a living hell hole.
I reckon that if they all sell, atleats three quarters will be up for rent in six months when the residents find out what its like to live in Feltham.
It has the worst young offenders institute on record with its radio station.
Various garage videos have been made there by the likes of So Solid Crew,i thought they lived on the roughest estate in the UK, why then do a video using Feltham,was theres not quite so appealing then.
Multi complex where the police actually wait in cars as its not worth awaiting the usual calls for assistance.
Really nice place if you decide to have something to eat, about 7.30 you see the usual blue lights and sirens rush past.
Bowling alley and arcade centre are the hangouts for all ages of chavs, especially around the dancing games.
Sports bar with singing on a sunday night and about six bouncers every weekend night-only holds about 100 people.
I lived in Feltham from 1953. It WAS a great place to live. It IS the people that live here that make it what it is today. Nothing wrong with the place just some of the inhabitance. When I see the quality of comments from some people here, it’s not supprising Feltham has a poor reputation. If all you can do is F and Blind then it just goes to show the type of persons that now live here. There are some really nice people living in Feltham and it’s a shame they have to put up with the likes of others.

This web page, although amusing, is clearly making up Chavified emails, NOBODY spells like that, Feltham ‘girl’! I will jolly well have you chaps know that Feltham is a damn site better and less pretentious than some leafier London towns, it is affordable, close to lovely places like Bushey Park, and we are not all chavs. Feltham borders Hampton, the uber posh commuter belt town. I live round there, and it’s bloody nice, so stick your borough-wide generalising anti-Feltham bullshit up your donkey-raping backside, you bigot!
Guys, the problem is not with the area, but with the people. Low education, empty heads, narrow minds and in-breeding with fellow townies are taking its toll. I live in nice area, but only because it was my choice. I’m not saying people are bad, not at all. But lack of aspiration, imagination and any sense of self responsibility is all around.
I go to Feltham all the time; it’s not that bad… I may be part of a low pay family living in a council estate maisonette but I’m definitely no chav. It seems nowadays all the upper class middle aged people seem to be branding all youths ‘chavs.’ You were young once, and I bet you were no angel either.
People need to grow up and stop making petty pages in which they hate on towns. I thought this site would have impartial information that would inform people of the worst places to live, but instead I find this! I’m only 16 and still more mature than you.

Work here and its a scum hole! What can you say, dont go out at lunchtimes and drive everywhere for my own safety.
Feltham does have its fair share of chavs but I can think of plenty of other towns that have Aldi, Lidl and sports shops. As I recall (and I live here) there isn’t a “Feltham Sports”, there is a sports store that is a chain (name escapes me) and they sell way more than Reebok. I’ve bought trainers from there of different brands, as well as sports equipment, travel bits & bobs, and sports/training clothes.
Is Feltham the only town in the country where kids bunk off? Hmm, no, I don’t think so. I was brought up in Richmond, and I bunked off plenty. The pond, as well as the other pond in main Feltham, certainly does have water and wildlife around it. There’s plenty more at nearby Bedfont Lakes too.
The ‘luxury apartments’ YOU refer to are not advertised as such. They are clearly advertised as starter flats and are the standard small 1-2 bedroom Barratt-type affair. They’re a great location for the shops, restauants, leisure area, the airport and transport straight into London. As far as I am aware they have sold pretty well.
Feltham Young Offenders is on the outskirts of Feltham, right by Bedfont Lakes, between Bedfont and Ashford really. FYI the offenders tend to be locked in, as are prisoners in many, many other parts of the country where prisons are situated.
The reason So Solid Crew used Feltham to film their video is not because it’s rougher than the Winstanley Estate, because for a start it would be daft to film somewhere where the locals are likely to try and rip off your stuff. I work in the film industry and was also involved with this video, so I know whereof I speak. It was filmed where it was because it was vacated shortly prior to its demolition and could therefore be dressed to how the director wanted the video. This is the area where a 24-hour Asda now stands.
I’ve lived all over London and see no more crime here than I did living in Hackney, Wood Green, Palmer’s Green, Richmond, Roehampton, Ealing or Shepherd’s Bush, etc etc. In fact I’d say I’d feel less safe in some of these other places than I do in Feltham (Bedfont), where I’ve been for 9 years now.
I’ve eaten at Nandos, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Franke & Benny’s, Chiquitos, Wetherspoons, Burger King, etc, etc, on many occasion and only on one occasion in 9 years have I seen a problem. This at all different times of the day.
As there is a bowling alley and arcade (and the laser game place) to hang out at, why not? I’ve used them myself and you would not label me a chav. On the many times I have, contrary to your assumption, has been a real mix of people. Mostly families of different types (the area is very popular with Asian families). These include some chavs but actually the door staff ask you to remove baseball caps or hoods. I was even asked to remove a hood I had on going in there once when it was cold (I would have anyway), and like I say, if you saw me, you would not label me a chav.
Every town has a sports bar, plenty have karaoke (I’m a DJ so I have a better than usual idea on the type of people that do karaoke thanks). Bouncers for busier places are far from unusual.
I’m not saying Feltham is Heaven on Earth, far from it. It has some problems. Not, I am informed by those who know better, as bad as they were about 10 years back. And like I say, no worse than anywhere else in the country really – except maybe Nottingham (not that I’ve been, just heard a lot of bad stuff) and the Winstanley Estate (which I’ve walked through a few times in daylight and not had any problem. Maybe I was lucky).
Looks like you came here (if you actually did) with the aim to find fault but sadly, you have failed. Tell you what, let’s have a look at where you live…..
I was born in Princes road and lived there until I was 39. I don’t know what it is like now but 20 years ago it was a very pleasant area. Everyone had jobs and my father used to leave the back door unlocked “in case family need to get in while we are not here”
There were nice little shops with helpful staff, particularly Parkfield Hardware, the owner of which gave me enough tips to transform my place. Feltham hill School ( my alma mater) was well known for getting its pupils into the local grammar schools, even me!
Perhaps it was the overdevelopment that turned what was once a market town ( The Feltham Finest, a famous pea!) into chav central. It certainly wasn’t the people that I knew and respected so it must be incomers. It doesn’t have to be like that. Good luck Felthamites.
