Wecock Farm

Posted on: December 18th, 2004 by admin 24 Comments

The little sister (or possibly mum, auntie, cousin and step-grandmother) of Portsmouth and Leigh Park.
A chav infested ghetto nestling in the cider bottle and rusty fridge-strewn countryside of the South Downs (recently tuned down as an area of outstanding natural beauty – any connection??). This festering hole was designed as a kind of overflow cess pit for the more established chav-itats of Paulsgrove and Somerstown.
Home to the “Wecock Recking Crew” who’s aim it seems is to further deface the very filth in which they live.

Local attractions include the community centre – home to the local mother and toddler group (or young mum and snot monkey group), which requires members to have at least eight piercings, two tatoos and one deformity between them. Mothers must attend with the regulation “scrape back slapped down with vaseline” hair and children are required to wear a) a scrunchie (on top of head) with only three hairs pulled into it, or b) an unidentified crust emanating from the eye, ear or nose. Extra kudos can be gained from exhibiting Wecock pets (nits, fleas or scabies).
On Saturdays the community centre can be used as a classy and inexpensive venue for wedding receptions (for the more traditional -and more mature i.e. over 26 – chavette), where the bride will be resplendant in white, attended by her bridesmaids (daughters, step-daughters, granddaughters and best friend). The groom will be off his head on stella (this is a posh do after all – no White Lightning tonight) and wearing the suit that gets dusted down for those monthly court visits. The happy couple’s mothers (one of their “dads” may be there, and he may even be a blood relative what with all the incestuous behaviour that goes on in this armit of a town) will start screeching at each other and before too long full-on chav warfare will ensue. This will only end when the local constabulary drop in to pay their respect; then it’s all chavs together againsts the rozzers.
Wecock also boasts several well appointed play areas; mini adventure trails with a host of fun activities such as turd-dodge and spit on the tramp. Other popular pastimes include sitting on walls, pit bull rearing, and urinating in stairwells.
If I had the stomach for it I would go on to detail the wonders of the local betting shop, pubs and eateries – but quite frankly I can’t continue or I will start ranting.
I hope this short summary of the delights of “The Farm” have whetted your appetite for this dinnlo colonised, benefit cheating, stone-clad hell hole.

LOL! Unless you come from Wecock you have no right to talk about us?
I was born and bred in wecock and I’m currently studying a Bachelor with Honours at Uni. So all you people that think Wecock is full of ‘Chavs’ you need to correct yourselves as they are most definately wrong!
Every place has a dodgy part. Some parts of Wecock are full of people that aren’t what modern society deem ‘normal’ but name one place that doesn’t have that?
I think you’ll find you can’t, everywhere claims to be whiter than white but knowhere actually is.
So before you go judging take a trip down here and have a look and I’m sure you’d be shocked.
and FYI not every child wears gold earrings and not every women wears tracksuit bottoms. It’s not ‘chavvy’ or against the law too.
Because if that were the case 95% of women would be locked up.
    Enough said now.

My dad lives there and although his house is nice you can sometimes look out the window and think “Its not bad but it could do better”. I dont like the area but because the council have made it an easy place for these people to live, its the way it is I’m afraid. We cant all judge we are all human at the end of the day!

Wecock is a hell hole i dont know what all you people are on about whether it was 2004 or present (2011) its still the same in my opinion, ive lived here from 2000-now, chaffinch green is full off smack heads, grebe close is full of crack heads and crack whores and dont know where to start with fulmer walk, herion queen was evicted about 2 months ago which can be a great help for the farm, all in the space of one year was a house burning down, someone hanged themself, and about 10 drug raids, so people DO need to take a look at wecock cause it wont ever get better!

this website needs to be updated desperately asi have moved to wecock farm in april 2011 and i am and never visited this area till now and i have found it a nice area to live. i have been to worse areas and seeing as i am no chav and i am from chandlers ford which has no rough or chavvy areas. so if i can cope and be happy living at wecock farm then so can others. as for working and crime.

i have never seen a police car in the area and im a nurse. my neighbours have jobs, some retired but they still work and some are ex service men and women. I do think people shouldnt judge unless they have lived in this area and their moaning is updated not over six years out of date like the main comment on this website. oh my dog that is no dangerous dog breed loves the great woodlands and feilds that are near by so there is more greenery here than most towns etc. there are also horse riding stables and activity centres near by and sport centres so if you want the country side then its walking dostance but if you want some town life then you have that to if you want. wecock farm even has italian and indian restuarants (not cafes/take aways) in cowplain which is a ten minute walk away.

my partner and i are looking forward top starting a family in this area as they have good schoold and have private schools if you want that sort of thing. no chav area i know has private schools so for wecock farm to have a private junior and senior schools under five miles away then wecock farm cant be that bad.

    thanks. x

yes teher are some spelling mistakes and thats not because im thick etc but purely because not all people from wecock farm are glued to a computer hence the spelling mistakes as im not used to using a keyboard as i have more important things to do. so if you have time to get picky on here then you have far too much time on your hands and should be spending your time working or doing something useful than moaning about a place you dont know about. thats me finished now but if you cant beat them, join them! x

I totally disagree with this! Perhaps its because 2004 was a fair while ago but i believe that Wecock is nothing like the description given. I grew up there and i’ve moved to London but my family still live there. My mum is the manager at the community centre, its been rough in the past but is now a great hub of the community. I really enjoy going back. All the young people who live there are really special, talented and unique. I found this article really offensive and would recommend you visit again before you put across such strong opinions.

who ever wrote this website has never lived there, they have only heard what people say, and its probly what the “posh” people say.
i lived in wecock from the age of 3 to the age of 8. its not as bad as people say, its just that there is nothing to do so “kids” make something to do. Ive also lived in a place called “corby” now THAT is CHAV CENTRAL. wecock is nothing compaired to corby and to be quite honest it wasnt as bad as people say either. yeah there was gang warz or postcode warz or whatever but that was crap, nothing serious ever happened and SOMEONE ANYWHERE smokes weed or something…….Who ever wrote this should tryliving there before they complain about it. its not all babys and benefits and all that, its actually a nice(ish) place to live if you have friends around you.

I remember moving from lovedean lane to weacock when i was 13. I tried to make friends with some kids by going to the park with my older brother. I wont mention her name coz im pretty sure everyone in smalldick farms knows of her, but a girl about 2 years older than me attacked me with her siblings for supposedly “tawkin’ shit abowt er’” id never seen her in my life untill that day and even after letting her know i had just moved in and never seen her before, she proceeded to punch my face in.
I believe I saw her a year later with a baby.
First day I moved in ,my house got egg’ed by some kids i was going to school with and I was upset for my parents
I got threatened at the youth center too.
As I got older, most of the kids ended up being my long time friends (Bus stop crew), just took a couple of ass beatings for people to like me
I live in the suburbs of New York now and I moved from smalldick 4 years ago.

what a shame some people lose the plot of things.

although i moved from there in 1982 i had lived there since it was built and even saw some of the houses being built, as i lived in curlew grds eagle ave end

there were some rougth patches, but on the whole it was always a very small minoritie that tried to bring the place down and spoil it for all.

i also take it as an insult as to the comments as my sister got married and had the reception at the community center.

i travel round the country, and see deprived areas a lot, some is lack of funding some is becourse the locals do not care about where they life. a place is as good as you are preparred to make it.

i call where i live as the BRONX it is not that bad but when you start to be a victum of crime it sure seems it.

when you look at the wider picture if punishment fited the crime ie toughter penalties on crime breackers, then just maybe some of these so called chav areas would not be noticeable.

but then again who am i to complain or say someone ealse is wrong

and by the way i went to cowplain comprehensive or the prison as i called it, also i attended medowlands infant and jounior schools, as well as attending a local cub pack and scout troup.

What a lot of absolute nonsence, obviously this article was written by someone who had no actual experaince of living on the estate and as for "princesschav" . well that says it all ! she is the type of tenant that we do not need on the estate thank god she moved !!

i have lived on the estate for 23 years, i have two children one of 16 and one of 23, one in university and one in college, where ever you llive whether on a council estate or on a posh one, you will get people who will be anti social, but on the whole it is ok here, i certaitly would not of lived here that long if it was and my housing is private NOT council, this web site serves no purpose but for "chavs" to come along and try to outscore each other, how sad, maybe if you all got off your benefit arses and got jobs you wouldnt have the time to post on here. and then you wouldnt have the time to be unsocialable on the estate where you live and decent residents would not have to put up with weed smoking chavs like princesschav whoi then complain that the estate is awlful , doh ! simple "innit" !!!
