help!!!! i live in a place near doncaster called thorne, and its been invaded by chavs, chavettes, pikies, u name it we’ve got it! thorne (forn) is swamped by chavs just randomly walking about looking for trouble u cant make eye contact with them because if they see u looking all u’ll get is “wat u lukin at fuckin w**ker al fuckin deck ya, ya twat”. and wateva you do dont go down finkle street at night, its one of there favourite hang outs, also in there top ten is the park, and north fields (norfields). but thorne isnt half as bad as moorends i think the almost the whole population of moorends are chavs, and because its touching thorne its easy for them to group. the worst time to be out is mischeivous night, because gangs of at least 30 go around with bricks wherever the can carry them, throwing them at anything that moves or looks like it could break.
I wholeheartedly agree with this post. I have lived in Moorends all of my life, and constantly gain the moniker “geek”, “nerd” or “posho”, by chavs. I would also like to point out for the information of any “chavs” that happen to land upon this comment, all three of those names are rather misleading, seeing as “geek”s were traditionally men who performed at carnivals, who were paid to bite the heads off of chicken, and “posh” is a term originating on P&O cruises in around the ’20s, when the richer people would ride on ferries, the “po” is from P&O, and the “sh” stands for “starboard home” where the rich people would ride the starboard side of the boat home. Therefore, if you ever call anyone “posh” you are actually calling them rich and arrogant.
PS. Chavs suck.
PO in POSH doesn’t come from P&O ferrys! It comes from the upper class wanting to be in shade when on cruises and not wanting a sun tan – which you get from working in the outdoors. It was port side cabins on the way out and starboard on the way back.
