Welcome to Newstead Village, The home of Chavs and to a better extent…Skaters.
The local hotspot for the professional ‘Chav Hunter’. About a stones throw away from Kikrby-In-Ashfield and Annesly Village its nestled between Woods and A industrial estate.
As we enter the village we come across ‘The Triangle’ and one of the local parks where the chavs will chill out with their ‘cronies’ smoking weed and blinding the local old people with the sunlight from their so called ‘Bling’.
Further down the road we come across the corner shop and opposite the chippy. 24/7 there will be at least 5 chavs outside this spot, Usually at least 1 will be on a bike/scooter. This is a main spot for the chavs as they tease and pick on the younger/older members of Newstead.
On the topic of scooters, The chavs can also be found in Newstead Woods near Hucknall in which they’ll be riding there Scooters, Dirtbikes, Quadbikes and ‘Go-pedMo-ped’.
The chavs in Newstead range from the wannabe ‘younguns’ who wear the chav gear to the full blown chavettes who are giving their boyfriend chavs a blowjob as I write this story.

I have lived in newstead village for 7 years and can only say that the people of newstead are great and the young people are great and only need to be given a chance please do not post sad and incorrect information about newstead which puts it in a bad light.What should be happening is all the village needs to get together and show the world what a wonderfull place it is.We are aware the whole country is having a bit of a hard time now so lets man up and do our best god bless austin.
I go to newsted every day n tbh there is nearly alwatys some1 out side the chippy or shop…. but they just go there because theres nowere betta 2 go! and the yuthys dead good! there are some dicks tht live there but their alright wen yo get 2 no em! N people are always on their bikes and fukin wat! Newsted is a lot better thn Annesley!
After watching the Village SOS on TV today, and now reading all the comments above, all I can say is, they maybe some Chav’s in Newstead, but from what I saw and how the younger members of the village have acted, they make me feel proud to be in this country. We need to think back a few weeks to what was happening in some towns and cities up and down this country.
To you all I have to say well done, be proud of what you have done and keep looking to the future. I wish you much luck, and hope that the future is a bright one.

Yes of course, what a horrible place to live, with it’s community centre, community run orchard, allotment scheme, church, youth clubs….i can think of nothing worse – I hear the woodcarvers club and WI get pretty roudy too! and heaven forbid anyone would want to live in a village surrounded by beautiful countryside and within a stones throw of the rather picturesque Newstead Abbey.
Of course kids hang around outside the shop being leary, it’s called being a bored teenager! They will grow out of it.
The crime rates for Newstead are lower than the Nottingham average, and violent crime is even lower.
I’ve just bought a house here, moved out from Nottingham city centre and i couldn’t be happier, it’s lovely being part of a community – something you don’t get living in the city.
The chavs are still here, but the village is improving and at the southern end it’d be hard to tell there was ever any issues. Still, crime rate is pretty low overall and apart from the nuisance factor, there’s very little trouble in the area.
Ive lived in newstead all my life and thou most of the things are true, not all the people in newstead are like the scum that hang around the shop thinking there hard, wen clearly most of them cudnt beat there way out of paper bag. and the last thing u said about the aids needs to be taken off cos ur just as sad and pathetic as the arseholes in this village. btw u forgot to metion that stupid shelter on the skate park that everyone sits in tryin to look cool. All the saddos in newstead need to grow up and realise u aint s**t! yur all just act hard to ake up for the fact that u have no real mates, no life and basically are guna end up on the dole scrounging off the decent people that actually get off the arse to something other than standin outside a shop in a group trying to intimidate people wen if any of them was alone they wudnt dare say owt! the newstead “ard” crew are just Bunch of in-bred tramps!!!!!
