It has excellent access to the motorway network via the M65, so anyone who doesn’t like it can easily escape. We are surrounded by some splendid countryside views, lakes and such. (Apparently these are well used by the local ‘Dogging’ scene if that floats your boat)

There are plenty of scrotes here, sad but it’s true, it’s also home to many different ethnicities who tend to isolate themselves, regardless of what any news paper or politician will say, to the average Blackburner will tell you there is no social cohesion. I blame the inept local councillors who seem hell bent on making Blackburn a number 1 processing centre… for anything (Asylum seekers/immigrants, landfill etc).

Figures are sketchy but one BBC estimate put the Muslim population of the town at 40%… include in that the number of eastern Europeans, Nigerians etc and you’re looking at a town with a quickly evaporating local heritage based on traditional English values.

Many pubs in the town closed following ‘White Flight’ from now asian areas (Audley, Shear Brow ..) I imagine this trend will continue further. It’s getting harder and harder to find meat sold in shops that isn’t Halal. Blackburn was one of the first to trial KFC Halal meat.. this caused tensions for a while but Blackburners tend to forget their personal beliefs fairly quickly if it involves fast food. Sharia law may well be trialled here in the future and this could possibly kill off the chav scrotes for good, so may well be the best thing to happen to the town since the start of the Cotton industry.

Scrotes aside there are many hard working decent folk living in this town. I consider myself as being one of Blackburn’s best exports. There are others of a similar ilk, these tend to migrate fairly early on in adulthood – this leaves a void that no number of chavs can fill.

Be careful if you’re drinking in Blackburn town centre at the weekend, don’t expect reasoning – if you do you’re running the risk that you’ll be kicked about the head til your choking on your own blood. The scrotes can’t understand anyone looking happy or seen to be having fun.
