This place is the anus of the universe. The Forest of Dean is a chav region anyway, and this is its arsehole. Filled with inbred morons in their 3 stripes, I had the misfortune of spending 5 years of my life there. From thieving at the co-op to beating up anybody who’s “not from round here”, the local chavs have some odd code of not going out with anybody who isn’t a cousin or similar. Seriously, the inbreeding is rife. The sooner this shit-hole is levelled, the better.

Cinderford, sadly, is a dump, suffering from a drug, crime and disorder problem. I used to live there and although I never had any problems I found the place depressing and had to get out!!
Yes there are some big business here, but mainly on the industrial estate where space is cheap and access for trucks is good – the town is not so attractive.
As for chavs, I’m sure we have just as many as any other area in the UK.

I completely agree. I’ve lived in Cinderford all my life, and I’m 14 now. I really want to move because I’m so sick of the people and the area, it’s just dead! Cinderford is just so disconnected from everything. For example, the other day I wanted a new box file for all my coursework… went into the town, had a look around some of the shops, the ones that are left that is, half of them are now empty, couldn’t find anything! Had to go into Gloucester to get one. I mean I knew everything was becoming more centralised because of the recession, but this is taking the Michael!
The education of children in the area is also completely ruined. They talk about 1 in 5 children coming out of primary school not able to read and write sufficiently; in Cinderford it’s probably something like 4 in 5, I was just one of the lucky ones!
Well, rant over, I just hope that sometime in the future they clean up Cinderford and get it back on the map, either that or omit it completely.
