i had the misfortune to do so the other day and after enjoying the leisurely stroll up the road from strangeways prison i soon entered bedlam as i walked across the well designed council estate.

Some of you delight in stating how little fear these arseholes inspire in you.well,i myself do feel intimnidated around cheetham hill.its the kind of place you get stabbed for “giving cheek” avoid.
Lived within 5 miles of Cheetham Hill for over 20 years and always though of it as a bit dodgy. Now I live just down the road in an area, Cheetwood, that is not listed here (probably comes under Cheetham Hill). Good points: Very multicultural, fantastic fresh food stores (lots of them, and roughly half the price of tesco’s etc), walking distance from City Centre, our neighbours are great and keep an eye on things when we’re away, relatively quiet, great Indian restaurants, loads of stuff for young families to do (spoilt for choice). Down sides: The white chavs (beer in one, cig in the other, looking knackered due to being 7 months pregnant) bring the area down and the blokes always start a fight when England loose or City play Utd, some property crime, not the most welcoming of areas, untidy.
Overall: the area changes – has good spots and rough ones. Would not aspire to live here, but would not put it down either.
Last time I was there I saw a fight at a bus stop.
Well quite obviously the dickhead that wrote this know s**t all about cheetham hill!!! Iv lived in the hill all my life born an bred ere an it is nothing the way u discribed it!!! An we do not go round stabbin ppl if they “give cheek” were alryt wiv any1 if there alryt wiv us!! Simple as!!! An every1 in c/hill r friendly an get along with anybody! Ur just discriminatin us coz sum dress in black an ride a motorbike!! Just coz sum1 wears a hood does not make em a bad person snotty angin ppl like u luk down ya noses we don’t luk down our noses at you’s!! We down 2 earth lovely ppl an we welcome almost any1 2 our area!! And has 4 the strangeways talk so wat there’s a prison in cheetham hill u name a place in the uk that hasn’t??? Pfftt!! U narrow minded c**t!!! Get ur fact right before u go slaggin a place that u don’t even know off!!!!
