Now I’ve been in Barrow several times, it’s a place where the local youth don’t know what’s what and starts to pick fights just to occupy themselves, crazy ladies with three dogs start talking to you about their walnut cabinett and the police are just as fat and hairless like the police in switzerland that eat fondue on top of the mountains and cut salami with swiss army knifes.
Now don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed my stay in barrow but theres just too much hate in that city, do you feel me? You do.
I couldn’t stagger into tescos without some little fat ginger kid insulting me, now I’m grown up but beating ginger kids like fat pinatas waiting for the sweets to pop out is music to my ears (especially if their ginger)
Well it’s not their fault their mums probably raised them in some run down house or not at all. In fact their mums are probably in Jeremy Kyles studio right now having some DNA test done just because they’ve f**ked about every chav in bloody Barrow and don’t know who the father of their hideous kids are.i
But all in all I really liked Barrow and its a trip worth making, the seagulls, the dock museum, the pubs, the people etc.
I’d suggest you’d double check that rear-view mirror and head up there because you won’t find a place like it.

Well I do live in Barrow and man alive is it a sh*te hole!!!!! Hence why I am getting qualified and getting the hell out of here as soon as possible. I would not want my child growing up round here as there are no prospects. Thats not to say that there aren’t decent people living here, lots of them in fact, however its the scum that allways rises to the surface and gives the place a bad name. The overall mentality of the town is “We’re great and we don’t need to change”, when in reality, if Barrow is to realise it’s potential then it REALLY does need to change and quick before it’s too late.
Well you can just do one, I have lived in barrow all my life an to be honest I wouldn’t change that. The people here are amazing and with it being a small town, you can’t walk down the street without seeing a good friend and have a good chat. Yes we are a small town and that’s what we are all so welcoming and comforting. So I don’t know who you have been talking to but don’t judge a book by it’s cover, if you want to comment on Barrow and the people then got to every area of Barrow and talk to every person, then you will realise that Barrow is pretty awesome
I lived there for 8 years and loved it. made great friends, one of which i would love to be able to contact but can’t find. salt of the earth people, great beaches on walney, good golf nearby and fab walks 20 minutes away. 1 road in, 1 road out, yes its a pig to get to, but i would go back there tomorrow
i live in barrow and yes its not a bad town but it has a lot of problems one being its a very racist town but they try to hide that fact most people here dont think anything else 20 miles away exsists yes the town has lots of inbred people its too small a town for that not too happen the local police are very dogey and so are the court systems !!
if you ever want a shag with many women every night, just go to Barrow.It does not matter whether you are fit, handsome or kind of an awful monster. You will certenly score as many times you want.

Once went to Barrow for a job interview working at the sub base. The company were paying for me to stay in a “hotel” overnight so I had a look round the night before the interview.
If they had offered me ten thousand a week I would have turned the job down. Just the trip there from Stockport was enough to put you off the place. I’m no fan of the Lake District so that part of the world didn’t really hold any appeal. I didn’t think it could be as bad as I saw though and I can relate to the comment about interbreeding. God knows what would happen to employment in the town if the submarine facility shut.

I was born in Barrow in Furness, my parents are from the Midlands, so perhaps I have a slightly different view to some others commenting here. I would say that every town has its bad areas as well as good. Not all of the people living here are inbred, stupid or on benefits. Some that are on benefits are lovely people, some take the rip completely! The best thing to do is get to know the area and the people because you may just be genuinly surprised. The people I am friends with and work with our genuinly nice, friendly people and there isn’t a “pitbull” in sight…maybe the odd Staffie…? An no, they’re not the same. There is also an increadible amount of history to Barrow too, so people of Barrow, BE PROUD OF YOUR HERITAGE!
Plus, we have the best pies!
