First I visited the well known end of Wycombe called Downley. I heard about such gangs as The Creepers and Downley City Vandals. They each have their own colour bandanna. Some members are known to be in jail. They are both mixed race gangs, consisting of black and white men between 13-20 years old. Most are Mc’s or Rappers who make tracks rapping about how gangster they are etc. I was told that it would not be a smart move to walk around Downley of a nightime. Local chavs and gangsters run the streets, and a few weeks back, a man was found stabbed dead in a car on Downleys main road.
I should mention Castlefield. Full of asians. You will be lucky to see a black or white face. Graffiti states comments such as Jump White People and Pakis Rule. the place itself is full of shit, with litter everywhere. Castlefield is known as a White no go area. Somebody i know was mugged on the bus in castlefield in broad daylight. it is an asian and pakistanie community, and the youths did seem to give a warm welcome to a white face.
Many pointed at me as i drove through, and some even shouted abuse.
Micklefield is on the other end of town, and consists of gangs such as the east side riders. it is a most black community, although some white people do live there. Gangs rule the area. everybody in the area seems to get on well, but, outsiders such as gangs from diffrent areas cause turf wars.
High Wycombe also has a feud with rival town Slough. Wycombe gangs and Slough gangs have an ongoing war, and are always making “tracks” about each other.
Overall high wycombe is a smelly shithole, full of gangster chavs with fake gold and fake diamond earrings. If you can avoid the place, i would advise you do.

Castlefield is a white no go area? You’ed be lucky to see a black or white face there? I am black and was born and bred in Castlefield. I know plenty of white people who live in Castlefield as growing up my friends were predominantly white and plenty of black people e.g family members, a few of my friends and friends of my parents and siblings. I would agree that there are lot of Pakistani’s there, but then what is wrong with that? I can honestly say that it has never bothered me.
Micklefield is mostly black? I moved over to Micklefield a few years ago now and I have to say the majority of the people on my road are white but as for Micklefield as a whole it is very interacial.In fact if you had to count all of the people of different races I very much suspect there would still be more white people but it would be close.
All said and done, High Wycombe isn’t the most fantastic place in the England (where is?) but it is an ok little town which is vastly improving and I don’t think there are any areas left (for the working / middle class) where there won’t be any litter, crime and ridiculous juvenile wannabe gangsters. Every place has it’s problems but Wycombe is in no way the broken down gangland that you are making it out to be.
i’ve lived in wycombe for 5 months and it is indeed a shithole. from high up looking into the town centre, it looks green, quaint and rather beautiful, but get down in the thick of it and it’s devoid of any character. lots of wannabe gangsters, they make me laugh more than they scare me, and lots of chavs. it has no community feel to it, possibly because of the multiculturalistic element, and everyone looks pissed off. there seems to be no nice bars or places to go to. looking forward to getting out of here.

as a born and bred Wycombe lady I would actually point out that you shouldn’t take such things at face value. Yes there are some shady parts to Wycombe, but I also happen to know that the area plays hosts to some of the best schools in the country, such as Wycombe High, Wycombe Abbey, RGS. The youths in the area are in actual fact rather educated as opposed to the elaborate mockery you can see in these comments. I suggest you shouldn’t take things on the internet at such face value in the future?
