No Keighley is not as bad as large inner city area of major urban conurbations such as London, Manchester or Birmingham and yes, there are a lot of decent, hard-working, reasonably moralistic people. BUT, there is this dozy, insular, cocky “I’m ‘ard” mentality to many of the younger people. However, you are not really that ‘hard’ and fearless as you live in a very small, insular town and you without doubt feel greatly intimated in large urban areas with far more ruthless gang culture and violent crime.
