OK LETS GET THIS RIGHT,

i was born and raised in gosport, im 35, yes gosport has a heroin problem, but no-more then any other place i know of across the south coast. fareham has a heroin and crack problem again , no diff then any other town or city. the writier of the article is either baised or simple. fareham and gosport are no diff to any other town/ city acros the uk

Hi we’ve lived in Fareham for about nine months now, and have found it a very pleasant, quiet place to live, most of the shops are wheelchair friendly and if you cant get in the staff will come out to you!

True I get a few odd looks from people in town, but using mobility equipment you get that sort of thing, and living in a local authority flat in an area of home owners some may feel I lower the tone.

Having lived in various parts of the country from Cornwall to Scotland via the Isle of Wight, we can say from experience Fareham’s not that bad!

Lydia, the opening post is as about as truthful as it is possible to get, You say it is quite safe as long as you avoid…………., that is the whole point of living in a civilized society you f**king moron, not avoiding any areas, the scum in those areas spread out to other areas and infest the whole of Fareham.
I had to laugh when you pointed out that as a young lady you walked home at midnight and felt perfectly safe, that would be nothing to do with the fact that you have an arse the size of a medium sized bus would it? or that you are as f**king ugly as the OP reported (and you agreed) the people of that area to be? as a young lady walking home alone at midnight you must be one f**king ugly skank if the local chavs wont even entertain you.

Balls to you, Snobbychavhater. I’ve lived in Fareham for about fifteen years now, and I love it. People are so friendly and as long as you avoid the dives that are Chicago Rock and The Vanguard, there aren’t all that many chavs to be seen. To be honest, even the chavs I do see (hanging around outside MacDonalds and whatnot) don’t tend to pass comment, they just keep themselves to themselves and make the place look untidy.

Fareham’s also quite pretty and safe, as long as you stay away from a couple of council estatey roads like Redlands Lane and Stowe Estate, which are foul and chav-infested. I can be genuine in saying that I, a young lady, have walked home from the pub (The Fareham) at midnight and felt perfectly safe. I always do feel very safe in Fareham.

A lovely place to live and I feel lucky to have ended up here. BUT, I will agree, there are lots of ugly people here. It’s great to go people watching in town when you’re bored.

By the way, where’s the Gosport entry?! Gosport is our neighbouring town and full of druggies and skanks. If you do choose to create an entry about Gosport, please don’t forget to touch on the most notorious area, Rowner *shudder*.

Not a very nice place, in a most unpleasant area, and surrounded by snobs.
