Years and years and years ago – in the 1960s, the local council realised that Liverpool was getting overcrowded with people and subsequently picked a random few acres of bog land and fields to build a new town on….ladies and gentlemen…welcome to Kirkby!
WHERE IS IT?
Four or five miles North East of Liverpool, just off the infamous East Lancs Road.
WHATS THERE?
Crime ridden shit hole areas such as Westvale, Northwood, Tower Hill and Southdene…and the “posh part” Melling.
THE TOWN CENTRE (KNOWN AS THE TOWNIE)
Think of hundreds and hundreds of rough-arse housing estates surrounding a rough arse town centre and your getting close. Kirkby has it all, Knowsley College where platoons of 11year old scallies roam around thinking their hard because they wear rigger boots and have shitty overalls, millions of orange-faced, PJ wearing single mums with fags hanging from their lips whilst little Chantelle and Tyler clutch a cold pasty from Greggs!
In the shopping centre, bone-idle scallies sit on the benches sporting Lacoste tracksuits and the obligatory black Reebok “whats happinin kidda” “is right lad” “innit lad” Doberman and Staffs are an optional extra.
The town centre is blessed with several drinking establishments – notably Wetherspoons where the same `faces` have been drinking everyday from 10am since 1999 when it opened. Same seats every day, no variation – a quick trip the bookies, back for a pint of mild, back the bookies “Pint of John Smiths girl”
Fat-necked gobshites in white t-shirts and black cardigans play the fruit machines intently – only stopping to barge outside to answer there £400 mobile phones, “lad, yeah lad, is right lad, bang on lad, in a bit lad”
4pm is college letting out time – mayhem at the bus station where people trample each other to board buses “der’s a fookin queue here girl” – “ay lad canna ger on with a pram on da bus” “do you go down park brow lad”
Oddly, they say people from Kirkby love the place – famous residents like Margie Clark, Phil Thompson and the like swear by it…..
Funny really, the rest of us hate it.
I have lived in Kirkby most of my life and have found the majority of the people to be friendly, loyal, sincere and honourable. Obviously as in every part of the world there is a small minority of “rag arses”. I have been on both sides, i have come across many hard working honest people who will without hesitation help anyone then i have been victim to some of the low life scum. I can honestly say after over 20 years of living in one part of Kirkby i now feel unsettled and unhappy to live here, however, i will be staying in Kirkby, just moving to a different part as i have faith in the good people and the community spirit is second to none. The idiots with their arm chair opinions on this site who have never set foot in our town, never met anyone from Kirkby should reserve judgement until they themselves have experienced even as little as a day here!!
Well… as somebody who spent 20 years in that scumhole town and knew hundreds of people from there, I will tell you all this. There are some decent people that come from there, however those people leave the area in pursuit of a chance to have a life somewhere that will not disease their young, and by the way that percentage of people are very low! Also there IS a very scum and ignorant minded social economy there that predominently terrorizes the majority of the community (obviously not individually, but on a general, you know what will happen if… scale) Oh and by the way, I have a standing reputation there as a person who actively sought out some of this bad element whils they were committing some of their many crimes and punished them as I seem fit, usually with violence and pain! and before the feeble minded of you say, violence begets violence, you are wrong in the extreme! It is an area teeming with scum and anybody with even a sence of self and family preserv ation should evacuate the area and petition a napalm purging of it!
I have just moved to Kirkby and I have found on the whole people from Kirkby are friendly decent people Kirkby has it’s problems like youth crime but that is down to local governments slashing funding for youth projects (its the same in every town) the local government needs to inject some badly needed cash into Kirkby to give the teenagers something to do in the evenings. I am happy to have moved to Kirkby and Southdene in particular although I was nearly talked out of moving here by the estate agent as “it’s not safe for a woman to be on her own” i have felt safe ever since i moved to Southdene yes the scallies can be intimidating but talk to them with the respect you wish to be spoken to with and there wont be a problem.
The youth want something to do? well they could do their homework so they get an education and get a job instead of leeching freebies off the taxpayer. Labour voting parasites.

You must rid your mind of these preconceived notions. if you weren’t living in a world of delusion, you should know that unemployment is at an ultimate high, for everyone (even graduates). So your advice is pretty useless, and unnecessary.
Why are you concerned with what political party people choose to vote for… after all this is a democracy, is it not?

you are wrong, the youth do not want something to do, They already have plenty of things to occupy them, however the majority of those things are both criminal and offensive, sorry Taylor but I personally have 20 years telling me that Kirkby is not worth saving, see there are probably more good people than bad in Kirkby but this simple rule DOES apply, a good man who does nothing when injustice is apparent ceaces to be a good man (that applies to women also) I will give you 3 of my many experiences in Kirkby
and these are of a multitude! 1: I personally know a piece of shit individual who (through the excuse of lack of education and stable home) knowingly twice gave 2 of her young daughters to a paedophile so she could gp get pissed in the premier pub! 2: I have personally witnessed 2 foreign early 20s girls hatcheted to death in quarry green because they would not give blowjobs to a group of scum scally pricks! (by the way I nearly hospitalised myself defending them) 3: A pub was completely run for years by drug dealing, murdering (to the knowledge of thousands in Kirkby) Scum for years, without anybody either individual or community organised confronting them and demanding their stoppage!
Okay, have your opinion on the place I live in and grew up in… but before you go ranting about something you have no actual proof of, how about you hear from someone who is actually proud to live here?
I have never been attacked, never been ‘jumped’ and never committed any crimes. I am not a slut, I don’t have an orange face and I don’t walk around the streets in my pyjamas either.
How about you all stop generalising our whole community just from what you’ve seen in the minority. I’m sure if you looked at where you live you’d find a few criminals, sluts and uneducated fools.
I have four A-levels and am currently studying Law and Criminology in University so if you really think we’re all idiotic, criminal, sluts how about you take a good look at the successfull people who have actually came from our little community?
