Bradford, West Yorkshire. Population 501,700 (the vast majority of which are chavs, Asian drug dealers and partially disabled alcoholics on benefits). Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be enough words available in the English language to emphasise what a complete and utter f**king shit-hole this place really is.
Apparently Bradford is the sixth largest city in the country, in terms of population, and was nominated for European City of Culture in 2008. Located just a few miles south of Ilkley Moor and the Bronte country, with its apparently diverse culture and industrial heritage, outsiders may be forgiven for thinking that Bradford might be a nice or interesting place to visit. “Why don’t we pop over to Bradford and have a trip to the National Media Museum Marjory?”

Bradford is literally hell on earth. The city centre resembles a squalid cess pit, full of monstrous partially demolished 60′s concrete office blocks, Pound shops, amusement arcades, prostitutes, heroin addicts, Eastern European car-jackers, Asian drug dealers, pre-pubescent mums and mad alcoholic tramps having arguments with themselves. It needs to be blown off the face of the earth. There is NOTHING good about Bradford.
Dare to use public transport around the Interchange and you will inevitably get stabbed. Venture a mile or so out of the city centre (if you dare) and things don’t improve one bit. The area of Manningham (famous for some of Britains worst ever riots in 2001) resembles a third-world war zone. Listerhills, with it’s derelict crumbling mills and huge selection of emaciated, smack riddled whores wandering the streets, even in broad day light, is literally a no-go area, whilst Great Horton, Frizinghall and Thornbury offer nothing but row upon row of run-down or boarded up terraced houses, where you’ll struggle to find anybody at all who speaks English. Venture a couple miles North to Shipley and be confronted by a population of uber-chavs who reside on notorious council estates such as Windhill and West Royd. These cider swilling, wizz snorting, tracksuit wearing monsters are truly dangerous people, who will no doubt “kick t’ f**k out o’ yer” if you even glance in their direction. Set eyes on the architectural ogre of Shipley clock tower and you will no doubt require some sort of counselling.

Apparently Bradford Council is now slashing its workforce by 20% to enable funding of the construction of a huge pond in the city centre. Great work! This will no doubt be full of supermarket trolleys, traffic cones, syringes and dead pissed-up tramps within minutes of opening.
As if Bradford’s reputation hadn’t been tarnished enough over the last 30 years, it now boasts another famous serial killer to bolster further it’s image as the true infected arse-hole of the UK.
Bradford………Avoid it
This articular is fact. I live about 7 miles form bradford but unfortunately i can still smell it. It really is a piece of shit that will have no problem in giving you a home if your one of the following drug dealer, a paki, prostitute, drug head etc, etc
I had occasion to visit Bradford a few times last year – thank God I won’t have to go again. It’s a complete shithole. Total and utter shite in every respect with no redeeming features whatsoever. Do us all a favour and bury it.
10 / 10 Good article which sums up Bradford perfectly. It’s not all bad though there are one or two good areas outside of the city centre such as maybe Cottingley. However whilst surrounding cities e.g Leeds have their fair share of shithole areas, Bradford on the whole is a complete shithole – I know as I live there.
Sorry but I’ve lived in Bradford all my life, I graduated uni with a 1st class degree and know alot of people in Bradford, non of whom are anything like the people you’ve described in your blog.

It’s not any worse that alot of place in England. You got other places like Leeds and they still have a same social problems as Bradford, they just have a better budget to throw money into half decent buildings and shops.
As for crime, im pretty sure in all the years i’ve lived here Ive read more about worse crimes in such places like London than here in Bradford.
Well, Bradford saddens me because it could be so beautiful, it has some fantastic architecture and the surrounding countryside is gorgeous!
But unfortunately, a lot of the nice and historic buildings were demolished and replaced by bizarre, apparently ‘modern, cutting edge’ designs that look grimy and shitty after a few years and don’t fit in with the rest of the place.
Setting fire to old mills over the weekend for insurance purposes has long been a popular Bradford passtime. You can normally tell if this is going to happen to a nice old mill fairly soon if they suddenly open as a crappy sofa selling buisiness. Currently there’s a lot of sofa selling businesses housed in old mills – fire brigade, please take note.
Yea, there is some truly depressing subburbs of Bradford, some of these Asian, where as a white person you take your life into your hands if you dare to tresspass.
Leeds Road and surrounding scummy terraces house non-English speaking religious fanatics that have lived here for 30 years with their inbred off-spring whose passtimes include TWOCing, drug dealing and pimping, or just beating the shit out of each other just for fun. They try to avoid prison by claiming to have mental health problems, which also does wonders for increasing their benefits.
The women walk around in burkas and breed one baby after another, often with deformities due to inbreeding.
Some of the ‘white’ areas are no better – Holme Wood and Buttershaw houses populations where no one has ever worked for generations. Their one aim in life is proberly to get on the Jeremy Kyle show. These poor excuses for human beings walk around in expensive but tasteless ‘tracky bottoms’ and the obligatory chav trainers. They complain about not getting enough benefits, so they also often claim to have mental health problems to get on the DLA.
Shops in Bradford are extremely crap, mainly poundshops and shit tracksuit shops and some desperately boring chain stores selling their most tacky collections to cater for the population.
Currently there is a big hole in the centre of Bradford where they demolished some large stores that nobody missed and the intention was to build a large shopping centre. Nothing has happened for years, so they made some of it into a cheap ‘park’, ideally suited for winos and escaped nutters that mumble into their cans of Tesco Value lager.
It would actually be best to throw all of Bradford into the hole and grass over it and make it into a nature reserve for all the stray ponies that wander around housing estates!
Bradford isn’t a bad place. Intfact it is a multicultural place that is a good place for all to live in.
