Never have I ever came across a town as chavvy, horrible and bitter as St Helens. They do everything in their power to try and be scouse, and fail miserably due to their downright disgraceful accent and their awful dress sense. Dirty Kappa trainers, Gola Trackies, Mckensie, Henleys, Hi-Tech. Name any awful make, I can guarantee I have seen it in St Helens. They absolutely despise us scousers, so they say in their own small, unknown town, but once in Liverpool, they walk round with their heads down scared to say a word. I can honestly say, they are the biggest flappers in the world, and only act hard when in a big group in their own town.

I used to live in Haydock, alas no more. However I frequently visit and regularly go to St Helens. It is not as bad as indicated by the nay sayers who clearly have alternative agenda’s to deflect attention from their own social problems. St Helens does suffer from a higher rate of drunken idiots stumbling between the very many drinking dens who cannot control themselves, but these are usually out of town visitors. Chavs are in every town but the higher unemployed areas suffer the most. If you want a clear representation of chav infested areas check the unemployment stats.

I also add that if you are so aware of this gang land hatred, then you yourself must be a sad member of such a group who are exactly the problem in all cities. Im pretty sure if you were a decent member of society, you would not be exposed to such lowlife, as I am not. I have nice, well educated, hard working friends in st helens and Liverpool. We manage to avoid bad places and socialising with ‘tracky’ wearing benefit abusers out of choice. There are plenty of nice places and nice people.. but maybe you dont have that experience as you are in the lower circle of society of which you are speaking!?
i am from stockport but found it a total dive so have moved to st helens whitch i have found very nice and well kept yes parts are horrid but you get that evrywere you go. Thatto heath and eccleston are one of the better places to live i have found and as for scousers hahahaha people in st helens hate scousers they are scum i must say there are not as many chavs in st helens as there is in liverpool or manchester.
I like st helens it has a lot of potential and i am now proud to call it my home and proud to bring my son up here ?

St Helens isn’t as bad as it used to be. I’ve been living in Salford for the past three years due to uni, but everytime I go to visit my parents, recently there seem less chavs hanging out on the streets. Plus the police seem very much on the ball to what I’ve seen.
In every town you go to, you’ll always find that there will be a lot of rough areas, even cities, but to say that the town is a dump I think is wrong. It has been done up around the town centre, and a new large medical centre that has been built looks great too. Obviously there is a lot of improvement needed (especially Parr and Thatto Heath) but overall everywhere looks pretty decent to me.
It’s just a tad boring at times lol! Plus I’m not a lover of the nightlife there either tbh, but to say it’s full of scum is not fair.
I hate St Helens with a passion. I lived there for a few years and went De La Salle. Worst accent ever who do take the piss out of Liverpudlians but run away if a scouser starts on them. Apart from that the town is awful and has no prospects. Saints are shit actually so is Rugby!

St Helens isn’t all that bad. The hating Liverpool thing is because of how the way most Liverpudlians react to strangers – not well. If you don’t sound Scouse in Liverpool, you are not included are people think they either should ‘batter you’ or just think they are better.
St Helens is a lot more friendly to people outside the town as they don’t have a chip on their shoulder about where you are from. The town may be a dump, but atleast it doesn’t ring alarm bells if you are not from there.

First thing first…what you said about St.Helens is WRONG!
One of the best things to come out of Liverpool these days is the 10A, which is often packed with chavs from there who come here to do shite…so all these chavs you are talking about in St Helens…half of them are your own! Besides every town has got Chavs. It’s just a sad fact of life. St Helens is hardly a unknown town for god sake! I love how u reckon we all have some massive problem with scousers…most of us haven’t. But plenty of scousers have a problem with us.

Your rant about St.Helens is far from correct! St.Helens is well known town, due to its sport rugby. The “chavs” in St.Helens hate Liverpool, but others who are not chavs love the town. I am from St.Helens and I love Liverpool I live their now, and I can tell you that the corrotion which is the “chav” runs wild in your town as well as St.Helens, I walk strong and visible with my head high, when I walk through Liverpool.
At least the people in St.Helens, don’t disown its own town, which area you may ask?? Birckenhead. Liverpool is only a nice place in certain areas, which I don’t hold against it.

While I say this I must take thought that some people will be reading this to get a few of St.Helens, all I can say is as a night out, I’d advise against it. As a place to move it would all depend on which area your going to move to (much like liverpool, I live in Speke now, and in a nice area of speke, but I would not travel down the road into the next segment).
