Finally glad when i moved from there. I shall start with the flats at the top of clun road. There is literally a druggy or/and alcoholic in 1 in every 2 houses and the amount of single and chavy mothers living in them calling their chidren stupid double barrled names and letting them out at all hours of the day and the parks in wick covered in wkd and cheap cider bottles, needles and filled/used condoms witch is quite suprising because the amount of underage teenage pregancys and the streets around clun road like greenfields and joyce close witch is filled with supposed hard people how are actually thick, fat chavs who will live in benfits all there life and the other side of wick with places like griffin cresent, courtwick lane and trollers walk witch is the posh side of wick is still a s**thole with druggies and alcoholic singles mothers but instead of 1 in 2 houses its only 1 in ever 4 houses and places like wick parade witch is filled with takeaway shops because no one in wick seems to have a cooker and lives of takeaways so yeah anyone is thinking of moving here yeah dont
Living the ‘other side’ of Wick (Courtwick Lane) it is a pleasant place to live – friendly, little to no crime, pleasant residents. Unfortunately, go the other side of the roundabout and anywhere in the Courtwick Road/Clun Road ‘ring road’ and it is a bit of a desperate situation. I think with some investment it could be rejuvinated but i don’t know if it would be put to good use or not. It could be a great suburb too.
thinking of moving to bn176hq in wick these are bungalows is it ok here ,thanks
i have lived ere all my life and my thoughts if this place is a s**t hole.you get people always trying to back stab you and you also alot of grassers in the family and my family shame to admit it most of them are scummy grassers like bobby winter and lee vine.im back in littlehampton thru no choice but the minute i can get out of it i will be trust me never met such a bad place for so many pigs poking there whore in on the wrong ppl coz ppl like bobby do burglarys and then let cid in the house for a coffee trying to point the jobs that hes done at ppl that are innocent dirty scummy area
When will people realise that there is a street or little area in every town that has it’s bad points? Grow up and stop slagging the town based on your own personal experience. Littlehampton is like every town in the UK (albeit not all have a beach). It’s a great little town, great beach and has great tourism that brings money in. Maybe all those that hate it so much should just move on and shut up. There are plenty of people I know including myself that do great things in the town and enjoy living here, and I am certainly no low life or chav or whatever you wish to call people that live in Littlehampton. We love it, and we’ll continue to battle against stupid people that can’t see what a great town they have.
Love and live people!
as a wick resident the place needs more love care and attention.
I used to live in wick ( the flats at the top of clun road) I hated every minute of living there.. There were alot of unpleasant people.. At the same time there were people in the same boat as me who hated it.. Couldn’t wait to get out. Luckily I only endured this place for 1 year that was enough for me! I once went to take my children to the park took one look at the ground and left.. Filled with needles and used condoms. My heart sank. I felt sorry for the kids living in this with no hope of escape. I am a young single mother.. I moved away to Suffolk to a little village have made a life better than that had I of stayed I’m in college and plan to go to university. I’m proof not everyone in wick/ associated with wick at some point are ( chavy single mothers) there are decent people wanting to get out beneath the filth.
I live in wick….. and yeah i hate living here and their is soo much going on but DO NOT exagerate its not as bad as places like lancing, worthing or even parts of LONDON, its an Okish place.
Wick Parade needs better shops apart from takeaways and yeah CLUN ROAD is horrible but we are who we are !!!!!
PRICK!! (missy)
Littleampton not bad place to visit, only had one bad experience whilst visiting, although infamous Chippy has sadly gone down hill. Indeed alot of change has happened in this small town, can still remember when one of the restaurants had a Ice Cream factory which was alot of fun, but alas changed hands etc. So glad read the comments, gave me more insight of the place as thinking of where like to move to.
I escaped LA 3 years ago to move to London and my god I hate going to back.
The place is run down and depressing.
The social highlight is Coco/the tower club, there is the token Wetherspoons and the worst Italian resturant I have ever set foot in.
Of course there are a few nice people and they are the ones I feel sorry for!
I lived on Courtwick road when I was a toddler then my parents decided to move to Rustington.
Littlehampton school is full of people who are stuck in an unfortunate cycle – meet your future spouse at school, get married, have kids and then they go to that same school and meet their teenage sweetheart and so forth. I’ve seen it happen so many times!
There is a big wide world out there and the best thing that any of the ‘chavs’ can do is leave.
Littlehampton is an utter s**t hole! A friend of mine works at the Aldi there ( or Lidl; never know the difference ), he’s constantly getting chavs in nicking alcohol. There has also been a large influx of foreign chavs ( poles,Romanians etc ) who are also on the rob. Utter hole.
My God! What language is this supposed to be written in? It certainly is not English. If I could not express myself better than this, I would keep my opinions to myself.
I lived in Wick (Northway Road) from 1946 until 1954, and it was a very nice suburb of Littlehampton – then. I have recently toured around it using Google maps. It has, of course, physically changed quite a bit, but ‘missyy’ was mostly, and inchoherently, talking about the people who live there now. For these I cannot speak, or write, but I cannot believe that they are as bad as painted.
i live in wick…and it is not full of druggies and alcoholics, all of the people that live in and around wick are very friendly people…..it is mostly teenage youth that stay out late….but they are all old enough to be out late…..it is a very friendly an kind area…..wick is where i have made most of my friends throughout my life and will continue to be in my life……so i strongly disagree with this opinion…x
